CONCLUSION
Although ‘Animal Farm’ is only 10 Chapters in length, it is
extremely thought-provoking and it represents a milestone in satirical literature.
Its appeal is that it passes comment on various Communist and
Fascist regimes which were particularly prevalent in the 20th Century, but it also gives an insight into human behavior.
Orwell continues this theme in his other works, in particular
’, ‘Homage to Catalonia’, and ‘The Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters’, which were edited by Sonia Orwell.
In contrast to ‘Animal Farm’, Aldous Huxley’s novel ‘Brave New
World’ covers the creation of a new society.
A cartoon version of Animal Farm hit the screens in the mid
1950’s, but it contains a totally different ending to the novel.
