Act V – Scene.vi

Summary

Malcolm’s army under camouflage reaches Dunsinane.

Interpretation

This is mainly a visual scene involving much movement showing the audience the advancing forces of Malcolm, right up to the walls of Dunsinane Castle.

The honor of leading the first battle falls to Siward, while Macduff will support his encounter. Siward is regarded as the senior knight due to his age and experience.
